Jozua - You did indeed and I do appreciate it as indicated in all my pm's to you. You do however seem to miss the point. The veneer is a mess for many reasons and because I am a perfectionist even in my DIY I will not accept a repair job on it. The finish needs to be redone. Not only am I replacing the veneer but I am also redoing all the inductors as I am not happy with my current ones. Check my other thread on this. Right now you can help by making suggestions like you do on alternatives to veneer and how to get rid of the old crap like Chipwelder suggested. I do have some ideas on how to redo the finish but are waiting for final pricing etc. before I post it. I have learned a valuable lesson and next time I have to or decide to use veneer, and do it myself, I will get the experts, including you, on this forum in CPT involved with my effort. Sean warned me that I should use professionals and I though I should at least try. . . It is not that I do not want your help. It is just that I know what I need to do and I am going to do it. I have spend R15K on the components for the speakers and I am going to make sure that the finish is also looking like at least a R15K finish. Right now I need to get rid of the old veneer and suggestions in this regard will be appreciated. Thanks Sean - I will contact them tomorrow.
