What would recommend to place underneath a speaker stand.  Many folks enjoy spikes for their grip, and I know they don't always gell with wood/tile floors unless you use some type of disc.

What alternatives are there that are cheap and DIY-able?  I've thought of ordinary door stoppers.  Or making small wood feet, about 20mm think and about 50mm x 50mm.  These wood feet can be attached by fisrt placing pieces of rubber between them and the stands.  The rubber would be about 8mm thick.

The stand i'm making will be about 600mm high and weigh about 12kg.  The speaker is also about 9kg, so that's a total weight of about 21kg, which is a pretty decent weight.

Any suggestions or alternatives?  See the article below to also provide guidance.
