Hi guys
Probably been debated a million times over but after today's new purchase of semi decent speaker stands, I want to explore the possibility of trying something new....
If I took away my Polk RTi8 floor standing speakers and replaced them with a stand mounted pair of speakers, what should/would/could be my best alternatives?
To refresh, its a NAD 317 integrated amplifier with a NAD cdp. Most will know that speaker location is limited etc and that the room is not conducive to the best acoustical set up but ja, I must make the best of what I have to work with!
My music tastes are mostly rock, hip hop and dance. I often like to go loud. Are there stand mounted speakers that produce a warmer, more base intensive sound than others? Everyone harps on about B&W but what else is there that would give me a better quality sound than the Polks without breaking the bank? Would I have to add a sub as a non negotiable or would I find speakers that would perform in this department?
I would more than likely look at the second hand market and to be honest, I have never owned anything else apart from Teac, Cerwin Vega and Polk so I know pretty much nothing about stand mounted speakers
Cheers
