I want to hear the opinion of guys if there is anything negative to completely turn off power amps when you switch of the processor in stead of just putting them in standby.
Even in standby the components do consume some power - and over the course of a year it actually costs you a lot of money.
Using the 12v trigger from a pre-amp you can easily build a power strip that is triggered to completely cut power from your power amps etc when you turn of the processor.
Basically it can be as simple as adding one of these to the power cable of a multip plug https://za.rs-online.com/web/p/non-latching-relays/2355548?cm_mmc=ZA-PLA-DS3A-_-google-_-PLA_ZA_EN_CatchAll-_-CatchAll-_-PRODUCT_GROUP&matchtype=&pla-381808951337&gclid=Cj0KCQiAjfvwBRCkARIsAIqSWlNdTnv-NBA5_MH1DMB8-gR-Lem3f3DgTZYAwvqJQFVFxDd6I9drGhIaAl8tEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
