So I finally managed to find a copy of ?The Men Who Stare At Goats? by Jon Ronson (the film is sort of related). In this he explores US PsyOps with interviews and various bizarre schemes used over time by them. One thing that got me thinking ?what effect would that have on me? was the use of music in Iraq (and obviously other sites including Guantanamo Bay) as a way of breaking down people to get them to talk. In the interests of a happier thread (and in line with the origin of the technique proposed by the same psyops in ?The Earth Battalion Handbook?, what songs on a loop would you class as psychological torture?
