static build up

Hey guys

Im a noob to vinyl, but i have truly been enjoying the sound it gives off. I do have a question though.

I got a new 180g vinyl yesterday and the static build up on it is crazy, so bad that i get zapped when lifting the needle off the LP.

I have a Numark TT and can you believe it does not have a option for a grounding wire.

Any ideas on how i can work around this and have less static so i dont have to get zapped each time i lift the needle off the record?
