Static coming from Phono Stage?

I have a Rega Fono Mini A2D which I use for my Pro-Ject Genie RPM1. When I switch to the relevant channel on my amp, there's a relatively load buzz coming from the speakers. As soon as I unplug the Rega's power source the buzz is gone. What should I do?
