Hi all,
I have two microphones which were used by the SABC during the 1960's, being a STC4032 and a STC4038. I am looking for someone knowledgeable on SABC historics who might be able to shed some light on where they might have been used or by whom. I noticed an add on Gumtree for a STC4038 which has the Springbok Radio emblem on it, however mine does not carry any identifying marks apart from the model numbers and serial. The strange thing is that the STC4032 has a hand-engraved serial of "SABC 0001" and "AH2B" which intrigued me to search for more information.
Here are some photos of the two mics: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/iojivzfifoprepc/HAeT8zmYMC
Any advice and information would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me at jscholtzp(at)gmail.com
