Check 2nd hand stores, they usually have compact basic blu-ray players available from either Sony or Samsung which should do the trick. I also have a physical blu-ray backup drive mounted in a HP microserver that I can hook with Kodi if I need to ever play discs, but most PC cases are also throwing out the optical drive bay, so this might also become tricky further on. 4K blu-ray is a different matter though, I would probably pick up a games console than a fully fledged dedicated blu-ray player. I think there are so few players in our market (especially budget is completely missing) since blu-ray was quite a flop here, considering that there was a decent install base, especially with 3rd generation consoles. So I don't think there was any appetite to further jump into 4K blu-ray content which was always likely to be a very small niche. The rollout of 4K blu-ray also coincided with the implosion of most physical media stores locally.
