[QUOTE="KenMasters, post: 1055651, member: 517"] Blu-ray is definitely a niche thing now. Used to be the vast majority of releases came from the big studios, but more and more it's the boutique labels like Arrow that are driving the market - so much so that some of the bigger studios are releasing titles through them. All the big electronic retailers stopped selling discs years ago this side. There's just one store in Copenhagen I know of that still sells Blu-rays, a very wide selection thankfully, but their stock and trade is specifically niche geek culture. Similarly you can count on one hand the number of manufacturers still making Ultra HD BD players, Samsung and LG not being amongst them, if you want to know just how dire the situation is. As soon as I hear Panasonic is exiting the market I'll buy a spare player, and after taking a long hiatus from collecting, I'm snapping up every title that has any meaning to me, either nostalgic or artistic.
