help
where I live (a block of apartments or what i prefer to call the working class squatter settlement) the developer has been kind enough to supply us with a TV antenna wall socket... how thoughtful.
and wait theres more....
for those of us living there that DO have money left over after paying the rent, theyve even provided a DSTV satellite socket thingy...
these things all work but thats not what this post is about.
theres a third socket labeled 'R' which i suspiciously suspect stands for Radio or Receiver.
however i have no idea what connector type this is.
i will post a pic as soon as i can to help... so for now i just want to know if its a standard used by developers in south africa or if its some fong kong thing
after much wasting of money buying exotic looking plugs and adaptors from shops i stumbled accorss the grundig antenna cable socket. whats on my wall looks very much like one of those. somewhat like a female coax port with something that looks like black sponge around hollow bit that fits snugly over the male connector. hopefully this is making sence.
before you ask, no its not an f-type connector, an RCA jack or a coaxail. i tried all of those (with force) and I'm now quite frustrated. i bought a male grundig... that dont fit over either.
please help ???
