sub blunder fix help???

Ok so you al know my coffee table subs...they where 10" and then I got 12"jbl gt1000 and made them fit, but bass is not hot because box is to small with only 70l each...and the wife loves the table so try'ing to make it work! So was thinking make it one 12" in a sort of bandpass box? Make hole thru the side with only 1x12" and close off the other side but leave the port? So then 140L ported...what do you think?

Also then can I bridge the power amp so I can get both 100w channels to one sub?
