I used a Denon heos link from sub port and plugged into sub turned it on and viola it worked albeit with a slight hiss coming from the amp and not driver. Switched out the RCA cable to the one connected to the Denon and it also worked but for a few moments then nothing again so fiddled with sources and cables getting intermittent sound from on and standby alike and from different cables and sources (AVR / heos link) Roland has suggested I get the sub back to him and he will test it over a few days / hours to see if he can replicate the issue.</blockquote>
