hi
It is time to admit: my project failed. I have a set of working but funny sounding speakers sitting in Cape Town.
The idea: https://www.lautsprechershop.de/hifi/klonwall.htm
rebuild the famous Klipsch Cornwall sound.
For the kit and parts so far I spent approx. 14.000 ZAR and took the hassle to fly the parts in from Germany.
Cabinets made to specs by a local carpenter.
Anybody keen to take over? help analyse? redirect me to a professional?
The situation:
all drivers working, but very funny frequency response. both speakers funny, but different. Misswired crossover? on both speakers?
A german friend talked me into the project. I am a computer scientist. physics scare me. analogue amazes me, yet,...
Any input or direction appreciated. Location: Observatory Cape Town.
thx
Stefan
PS: Maybe I should start looking into the classified for used speakers with a similar profile? Any leads?
