I think I just found heaven....
World, meet the Auralic Gemini.
It is a beautiful headphone stand. Oh, and a headphone amp. And a DAC. And a music library!
Taking a closer look:
- Class-A balanced headphone amp, output up to 2W
- DAC / decoder, including hi-rez formats (DXD, DSD and double-rate DSD); sampling rates from 44.1K to 384K.
- Built-in SDXC card allows one to access up to 2TB of music.
And to be honest, at $1k (outputs 1W) and $2k (outputs 2W) it is actually not bad at all!
