I don't know if its just me, but I find the amount of surround sounds in movies disappointing.
What I mean is that most movies have perhaps 2 or 3 instances where you can hear the surround sounds, but most of the time where you can visually see where surround sound could have been used (e.g. a guy walking on a tiled floor "past you" and into the field-of-view of the camera) sound only emanates from the front-stage.
I always see these advertisements for surround sound where cars and bikes fly past you with incredible realism, but I very seldom experience that in movies (even heavy action-based ones).
Are studios too lazy to include extra surround sounds in blu-ray releases or are they too greedy to produce these during filming? (cant imagine it would cost that much more).
