I want to use a rotary switch to switch between different cart load resistors on my phono preamp. A few questions arise:
1) Do I use make before break type of switch?
2) Will it have any influence on the matching if the switch is say 300mm away from the circuit board?
3) What kind of wire should I use between switch and preamp board? Balanced mic cable, equal lengths for left and right channels? Or normal twisted pair?
The reason for these questions:
The preamp will be onboard my TT Plinth with the 'Control Panel' somewhere on the front end of the Plinth.
