Guess I should pay more attention to the Press.
Just received this email:
Not April 1st yet. I have had no issues with Takealot but there have been people complaining about Kalahari's level of service. I understood Kalahari was to receive a massive cash boost to further enhance their product range - why now the merger? And it seems to be in Takealot's favour?

Hi Eric,
As you would have seen in the press, we have announced our intention to merge with Kalahari, subject to the Competition Commission?s approval.
This is a necessary step in the evolution of takelalot and exciting news.
As announced, once the deal is completed, the business will trade under the takealot.com brand with Willem and I remaining as Co-CEO?s.
We have built our business on the simple principle that the customer comes first and we intend to maintain this no matter what.
Although we don?t always get service completely right, you can rest assured we strive to always please you as the customer.
We will trade separately during the festive season so it?s business as usual for now. Once we merge, we will strive to continue to improve on the experience you have become accustomed to under the takealot.com brand.
Thanks for your continued support.
Willem and Kim
