New to vinyl I recently purchased an unabused Technics sl1200mk2, it came with a grace HS5 headshell (weight 11.3g with wires) and Stanton 500 cartridge (gold body) the stylus is D5100E (black with red square). Total weight of the headshell and cart is 16.3g. Currently tracking at 3g with anti skating at 3 this is connected to a Technics SU 3400 amp which has 3 cart loading options 10K,50K and 100K. Looking to replace the stylus or alternatively a new cart and stylus without breaking the bank, thinking about the VM95E also is the headshell suitable or should I be looking for a replacement.Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
