Hi Guys
I'm a newbee here, and very new to vinyl. I wanted to get a cheap turntable to try out so I can see if its for me or not. I picked up this Technics SL10 at a 2nd hand shop. I did some research on this unit and to my surprise its quite sort after in America especially the original cartridge, unfortunately the stylus on my cartridge is broken off
What I want to know is, is this a good turntable for a beginner and are there cartridges available at an affordable price, I don't want to spend to much money on something I'm not sure about yet. I phoned HFX but they never had stock and the stock they were expecting was a bit to expensive and they couldn't tell me when they were going to receive their stock.
Any comments would be great.
