Out of curiousity, I bought one of these today, opened it up and gave it a good clean ( not much to do ), polished up the plastic, plugged it in and .......this shouldn't sound this good :groovy:
It has a Shure M99E cart with a 92 stylus.
How did Technics get this so right ??...it has a floppy stubby arm, platter that rings like a bell ( with the mat on ) and a claim to fame of being the size of a record sleeve.
Maybe this is actually the way TT's should be made, no wood, glass, fancy arms with weights everywhere, too much to fiddle with, etc :sh1tstirrer:
I like to fiddle too, so the Oracle will stay, but the SL10 is going to stay too :2thumbs:
