Since some reviewer referenced the Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, Op. 49 - TELARC Edition I have been on the lookout for stuff on the Telarc label... Nothing found really.
But today Mr Kassler picked this one out his vinyl pile at his shop.
Telarc Carmina Burana - Front
Telarc Carmina Burana - Back
Wow
what a great pressing! Dynamics and clarity like little I have heard before. Orchestral placement is precise (OK they moved the trumpeters a bit but that would be quibbling) and clear.
Purists may balk at the digital recording. The proof is in the sound pudding so to speak though...
Anyone out there have any Telarc pressings that they treasure?
