Good people of the soil. I am probably going to be flamed for this. But, I hate the whole idea of telemarketers. They call during the most inopportune moment and never give you a chance to save them the trouble.
I have developed a few choice responses that are fairly polite but effective. I am keen to here what others do to deal with them.
They all depend on what is being marketed.
Once a chappie was selling short term insurance and I responded "I like your product, but I don't own a car, or a house. I leave in a shack, do you insure shacks? How much?"
That was the end of the conversation.
My favourite though is denying my name and asking them to change their records because they clearly have my name crossed with someone else.
