Need a bit of advice.
After quite a bit of hassle, I cancelled Telkom as my ISP 01 Feb, I have the reference number for this.
On 01 March, they disabled my account - and on 03 March I received the my invoice where they are still charging me for the service into April - since then I have tried various mediums to get this charge reversed (R545) - and get absolutely zero response from Telkom, excepting for various escalation reference numbers. (tried hellopeter, facebook, twitter, CEO email address, various other email addresses)
I have told them I am not prepared to pay for the service, as it has been cancelled - I finally got a response from Telkom yesterday saying I must pay the full amount listed, or they'll list me as a bad payer with ITC - they accept that the service is cancelled, and say that until such a time that they correct the invoice, and stop charging me for the service - I must continue paying the full invoice.
This is not something I'm prepared to do, I'm not prepared to pay R545 a month for a service cancelled in February, and then continually fight for my money back when I am already not getting much out of them.
What are my rights in terms of them listing me as a bad payer for not paying for a service that was cancelled? And what could I do if they do this?
