I just have to share my recent most laughable experience with out parastatal telecoms... uhm... company

Ok, so I posted this on HelloPeter http://hellopeter.com/telkom/complaints/poor-turnaround-time-1306131on 22 January 2014:
"I reported our company's voice- and DSL lines were down on 7 January 2014. As Afrihost manages our DSL, they reported it to Telkom, while I reported the other line directly to Telkom.

The fault was due to contractors damaging the lines. Telkom gave progress reports on the DSL line, but nothing on the other line. The fault was corrected 2 days later and service returned to normal.

Today I receive a call from Telkom inquiring whether our main line still has a problem. This is more that 2 weeks after it was reported! Even though the service was restored, I had no feedback from Telkom until today. After the call I received an SMS stating "Dear Customer your report reference xxxCTZ070114 was restored. If the problem still exists contact..." bla-bla-bla

This is 2 WEEKS after reporting!

I recon it was the same person that earlier today sat in his vehicle honking away. While if he lifted his *** out of his vehicle, he would have noticed a intercom and a bell! "

Telkom's reply on 8 March:
"Hello danvan,

Thank you for the post.

We apologise for the delay in attending to the matter.

We constantly strive to deliver the best service.

"I just could not help but to laugh, so here goes:

My previous complaint "Poor Turnaround time!" (hellopeter(.)com/telkom/complaints/poor-turnaround-time-1306131) was placed on 22 January 2014. Telkom replied only... wait for it... 8 MARCH 2014! Almost 7 weeks (45 days!) later with this response:
"Thank you for the post.

We apologise for the delay in attending to the matter.

We constantly strive to deliver the best service.

Regards
