It pays to spend time to test. I was at CC Menlyn yesterday and saw two Stereo amps I was keen on.
Both powered up and buttons worked. On one, a Technics SUV300, the left channel was not working.
On a Sherwood, there was no sound thru either channels.

On their side, they were very helpful in getting cables, speakers so that's good.
My age shows, the young guy helping me had no idea how to configure a Stereo Integrated Amp ! I pretty much had to set it up
