I'm no expert on wood (Louis?) but these sticks of wood sure look nice.
In the pic is snakewood, tulip wood, ebony and something which looks like tortoiseshell. There are some pieces which I'm still awaiting for an ID. One could be some dark rosewood.
And yes, the two rival family blokes carrying the pieces are now resting in a Palermo lemon grove after an unexpected ambush...
