I know this is a well known fact and has been discussed a lot hear but I just wanted to share some feedback 8 got today. I hosted someone at my place that has 802D2 run through the newer preamp to mine and with a bigger Rotel than mine. He had specific songs that I take it they are his reference songs. We played the first song and halfway he requested I played something else and halfway through the second song he asked for a 3rd song. We listed to the 3rd sing and when it finished he was like the first 2 songs sounded different and nicer than how I know them but I couldn?t trust my ears. The 3rd song was the one that made it clear that something was different here. We listened to more songs and he continued to be impressed. According to him he was impressed by how composed the bass is and how the kids and highs are so clear the 804s are vs his 802s. We spoke at length about room acoustics afterwards and he is sold on its benefits
