Howdy everyone.
I've been toying with the idea of upping my 7.1 sounds environment to something more "3D". This led me to investigate the formats out there and read kind of what the gist is around them.
From the looks of it, there are 3 major players currently: Atmos, Auro-3D and DTS:X
What I can gather thus far is that Atmos seems to be the most available format when it comes to the next level of sound, Auro-3D appears superior to Atmos, but is limited to Europe in somehow, and I have no clue what DTS:X is heading towards.
This feels very much like a 3-way "VHS vs Betamax" fight, so who do you think is going to end up on top?
