Is there a green audiophile?
Lately, while cold, I have been thinking about how much electricity I use. I spend most of my energy on my PC and amplifier from what I can work out. Wanting to try to live as 'green' as possible, its got me thinking about the "environmentally friendly audiophile". Doing the natural thing I Googled 'green audiophile', which is some type of weed, then 'environmentally friendly audiophile', which are hipsters take on headphones http://www.yankodesign.com/2011/02/09/environmentally-friendly-for-the-audiophile/
I tried more, and got interesting results but not what I was looking for. Which has left me with some questions. Is it possible? What are the compromises that would have to be made? With the broader move towards higher efficiency electricity usage what possible implications would this have for Hi-Fi in the future? And I'm interested if anybody else has been thinking of it and has possible solutions?
