All of us have the privilege of hearing.
we have our HiFi's and our HT. we are constantly improving it to make it SOUND better.
Have you guys ever given thought to the people that can't hear. One of our non active forum members lost his little girl last year. she had cerebral palsy . she could not hear much and they could not communicate with her very well. BUT there is a organization called Helping Hands (hand sign language) that helps parents like this to build up a communication between then and there children.
but organizations like this need funding and to cover basic expenses.
So please show your appreciatiation to the fact that you can hear by donating to this cause.
they are hoping to raise R100,000.00 (yes it is a lot, but we only need to get 2,000 people to donate) as our funds run out at the end of this year. We make use of volunteers, but they get reimbursed for the traveling they do as they visit the families of the children with hearing loss at their homes once a week. Also, the SKI HI Institute train these volunteers for free, but we have to pay for their flights and accommodation.
