I know this may be a contentious and somewhat emotional issue, so I don't want to start a heated debate about what is right/wrong re corporal punishment (we each have our views on this). What irks me somewhat though is the reaction from those who are totally misinformed about the separation of powers (such as this opinion) and what the judgement implies in practice as articulated here. We have a huge public outcry on social media from people who don't really seem to understand the matter.
