I have more than a few turntables awaiting repair. I also had some odds and ends lying around so I decided to make some tonearms. These are works in progress.
The front one has a bearing that I blame Steve Strange for, a shaft made from a fishing rod (R5 from the SPCA) and a push-fit headshell. I haven't wired it yet nor figured out an antiskate. I will lower the counter-weight for stability.
The rear one has a bearing from something or other, a counterweight assembly from something else and a shaft from a golf club (graphite, R10 from SPCA).
They're both over 12" at present but may end up a little shorter. They'll get a cosmetic upgrade too in the form of spray paint...
