I have a few things planned for this humble little turntable so I though I would share and maybe get some advice along the way.

Its a fairly modern looking table compare to my other Thorens decks so Im going to try get away with setting it up im my living room on my HT system.
I got the unit yesterday afternoon and quickly unpacked it and connected it up on my HT system. I must say I was impressed with it even after reading a few comments on the net about it being one of the cheaper models. It is complete and cosmetically fairly good condition.

Restore upgrade plan:
Correctly align cartridge (ortofon OM5E)
Reset suspension (The suspension seems to have sagged a bit so hopefully only needs adjustment)
Polish up the platter rim (Not mirror but a hour with some autosol should have it looking like new)
Touch up a few tiny marks on the black plinth.
Polish the plastic cover (not sure how to do this yet)
Replace the platter mat (I have a nice 6mm thich thorens mat from another deck)

Things to do later:

Test a cast inner platter from a TD150 instead of the plastic one. (I think the plastic may not be as bad as some say)
Replace RCA's (Cardas and  Nutrik... maybe)
Reinforce the plinth
Some dynamat on the underside of the chassis

I think it will do nicely in its new role.

Any comments or other suggestions ?

Regards

(HT system is a Harman Kardon AVR 245 with Jamo S606)
