I am slowly but surely upgrading my HT setup. I bought a packaged Onkyo setup about 2 years back, and fell in love. I couldn't believe the difference a proper HT setup makes.
I bought the Monitor Audio Silver 12 Sub a few months back.
I have just bought the new Denon X4100W, and am now looking for new main speakers. Due to the layout of my lounge, I have to use bookshelves.
I was thinking of the MA Silver 2 bookshelf speakers, but I haven't been blown away by the sub, so looking at options.
The sub sounds great for movies, but has less punch than my cheap Onkyo sub has for music. Which is odd, since the MA is rated at 500W rms, and the Onkyo at 125. The MA sounds way better, you can hear it's a quality product, it just doesn't go as loud. It also hits substantially lower notes in movies and gaming than the Onkyo.
I am now looking at getting the SVS SB13 sub.
What are your thoughts on the Polk LSiM703.
