Hi guys,

My current setup consists of a NAD C320 amp, Magneplanar SMGa with upgraded XOs and Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 (w/ GE 5670) as source.

I am urgently in need of some bass. I use my setup for both music and HT. The music isn't terrible without bass, but could definitely use a subwoofer, HT even more so.

The Maverick has Tube and SS outputs, so I thought I can plug (an) active sub(s) into one of the outputs and feed my NAD with the other? I would then have to use the volume control on the Maverick, which is not as high quality as my NAD's pure Class A preamp. mmm :/ My NAD also has one set of preouts which feed directly into the poweramp section using solid copper bars... Is there a way to split these and feed both the poweramp and the subs?

I see http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,10685.0.html is nice and cheap - is this too low end to pair with my Maggies?

There is also the subwoofer special at Fonet... I was even thinking of going for stereo bass for awesomeness... Expensive option though :S

What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Chris
