I guess it was The Cult that first opened my ears to the concept of 'tight'. However that was a studio album so not sure how they were live. After recently watching Bohemian Rhapsody I gave my tired old SA pressing of Queen Live Killers a spin, and they were undoubtedly tight. I was also lucky enough to catch The Diamond Dogs in Rockey street one drunken night and they were excellent to my perception, as altered as it may have been. Another stand-out was Joe Jackson at Monte Casino, but that was 'only' 2 musicians. Who am I missing out on?
PS: The first joker to nominate The Spice Girls or Hole (El Sid?) gets a 6 pack of warm Castle Lager :sh1tstirrer:
PPS: Jazz probably doesn't count - how do you tell if the timing is off when there is no structure? :sh1tstirrer: :EGrin:
