This is to the mods and I know that this is sensitive topic, however, I think the time has come to put our collective knowledge to good use.
Over the years, this forum as proven to be a bastion of information more than audio. We are all from similar backgrounds and in similar LSM's and very knowledgeable and our age range is wide. I find that as I'm getting older, I now contemplate factors that only my gradnfather used to deal with and I'm no where near that age yet !!
We should get a Medical Thread going, where we share medical information - I've just posted a topic.
Heavy topics, like how to perform a triple bypass with a needle and thread is not what I'm expecting nor are DIY Lobotomy's.
I'm increasingly finding that the doctors, specialists don't know as much as we think they do. I'm in a position now where I can interpret my own blood results with the help of the internet for example. I can probably effectively treat myself - better than any doctor, if only I could get medication w/o a script !!
