Torodial Transformers

While on a recent business trip abroad,"a friend of a friend"  invited us to his warehouse.While our core interests lay in renewable energy (solar and the likes),i agreed to visit as i had concluded my meetings etc.I was surprised at the quantity and variation of torodial transformers,he had on his shelves.Anything from a 30v - 2.5kv and upwards. The real shock were the prices though, 1.5 kv ( R 1150.00)

I am sure some of the forum DIY'ers will agree,that's a very good price indeed.Thought i'd post some pics.......
