So we had our 4th boy this morning at 09:58 (c-sec), well for the next 7 minutes they couldn't fire the lad up! You know you in trouble when the other doctors are working on your lady and starring over their shoulder looking at baby. The midwife was hitting him under his feet and I mean hitting! The pedi was giving him oxygen, sucking and working his little chest, too no avail! At this stage Dorne is frantically asking where is baby (seeing the doctors looking back). Eventually out of pure DESPERATION the pedi ripped him up in the air! He splattered his 1st breath at 10:05! Wow! Just WOW! Relief all round! Doctors eventually turn and focus on mom while baby cries. Little boy is in ICU however they say he is perfect as he was given oxygen throughout the trauma.
Gentleman I have now settled (kids asleep) having my 2nd glass of wine and reflecting how FRAGILE life is! Maybe we should take a BREATH and appreciate the little we HAVE!
