touching of valves

Hello,

Does one need to be careful with handling valves similar to handling halogen light bulbs?

Not touch with bare hands because oily residue can cause localised hot spots and crack the glass?

Wipe with alcohol in case of accidental contact?

Can you put stickers or something on the glass, or should it rather have nothing on it?
