Transport Replacement- do we need to stock up ?

I do enjoy my SACD player and hearing that Phillips and others are no longer building drives triggered an alarm with me. 

So I thought - let me get a spare drive unit ...for just in case.

Needless to say- the SA agents inform me that they no longer import the unit nor do they carry any spares.

My gut feel is that this will soon be a common problem for many.

Can anybody source drives?
