My eldest daughter is starting piano lessons this week. She's very excited but we don't have a piano or keyboard for her to practice on. Without that I don't think its worth even doing lessons.
Either way, I want to bring a piano that belongs to my sister from Loeriesfontein in the Northern Cape up to Jhb.
We phoned a few removals companies and we're looking at about R8k-R12k incl VAT and insurance, although not all will incl insurance. At that price I'm not going do it.......
Anyway, can anyone offer some ideas as to alternatives? Mine at the moment is to borrow a bakkie and make a weekend trip of it. Will cost me a lot less, but I'm not too keen on the drive.
If I do end up doing it myself, any pointers, appart from the obvious tying it down properly and covering with canvas? I will have to get it re-tuned in anyway cause it hasn't been done for about 10yrs.
