TT vs Cd/DAC volume level

I would like to understand why the volume/db level between the TT and my CDP/DAC differs so much on the same amp when the volume is kept the same between switching? I tested the amps own phonostage as well as an external one and both was significantly softer and about the same level between the two phonostages. Is it the TT itself? The cartridge?
Amp is Arcam with built in phonostage
External phonostage used is NAD
CDP/DAC is Audiolab
TT is a Strathearn 305 STD
Cartridges is Audio Technica CN5625AL MM
