We have a very painful past stemming form the injustices of the old SA government and the racial prejudices that the then government propagated. Racism is till there and it manifests itself in intolerance and other prejudices that people can use today and it's there across people of all races.

I started this thread in light of the 2 girls in TUKs that have been expelled from Res and reported to the human rights commission for painting their faces black and dressing up as maids and stuffing pillows around their buttocks as a costume to a dress up party. When I read about the story I thought to myself where is racism in this. This must have been an innocent dress up which some people are turning into a race thing. As for the university taking a high moral road on this by expelling them from Res what does it say about the institution and it's leaders. I wonder what those girls are going through right now. Shame
