TV aspect keeps changing

Hi guys
I've got my HD PVR routed via my Onkyo AVR which is linked to the Samsung 51" plasma via HDMI.

I've started picking up a problem where the aspect ratio changes to letter box when I change channels on the PVR. I then have to use the PVR remote to change the screen back to ARC 3.

Any idea where my problem might be? It's also intermittent which is even more frustrating!
