I'm currently building a 12" sub for my nephew (I'll post it once I've finished it) and I'm looking for an undercoat that sands easily to a nice smooth finish. On my previous builds I didn't really worry too much about the final finish as they were mine, but this one I'd like to finish it off nicely. Wood filler sands really nicely and doesn't clog up the sandpaper, I tried sanding the acrylic paint on my previous builds, but it never worked out very well, so I'm trying to find something that sands as well as the wood filler.

I'm trying to hide the small details such as the screw head holes after they've been filled with wood filler and texture of the chipboard as I used old kitchen cupboards for the build. I've seen the standard pink wood undercoat, is this any good?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
