Back in the day?1978, I purchased some Hi Fi from Laskeys Tottenham Court Road and shipped it back to Cape Town. Price tag around R12k as I can recall?I thought I was the ?bees knees?.
AR9 Speakers,
Audionics of Oregon CC1 power amps and BT1 Preamp.
Strathclyde STD 305D Turntable
Mission 774 tone arm + Ortofon VMS 20
Tandberg TCD310 cassette deck ? replaced with a Yamaha CDX 750
All I have left is the power and preamps which are in for repair, Yamaha CDX 750
Strathclyde STD 305D Turntable and the Mission 774 tone arm.
If the amps are repairable they deliver 200watts at 8ohms.
Question: with R12k budget what speakers and cartridge do I purchase?
What about B&W 683 or similar second hand?
