New to the forum and just beginning to dip my toes into the world of Hifi.
I'm running a Marantz nr1403 with some Kef q35s.
Mainly for music but it gets used by the family to watch Netflix etc on the Chromecast.
I'm really happy with the sound at the moment but it's in a fairly large, open plan living area and I crave a little more bass than the Kef's put out.
So my question is: should I look to get some bigger, bassier speakers (been looking at a pair of mission 753's and mission mx5) or should I just add a subwoofer to get the extra grunt down low?
Budget is fairly restricted, probably have R3k plus whatever I can sell the Kefs for
