Looking to do a major upgrade across the board. Amp, Screen and Speakers.
Current Setup
Loewe CRT 82cm Wide
Yamaha AZ2
Kef Q
Paradigm Servo 15
Current Shortlist
Samsung 6 Series Plasma (Would love a Panasonic V series just beyond budget)
Yamaha Z7
Pioneer LX82
Kef XQ
Kef IQ
SVS PB12+
SVS PB13 Ultra
Will run a 5.1 for now with plans to move to 7.1.
My first issue is the KEF - the IQ are reasonable priced and I have been very happy with my current Q.
Battling to find XQ units in Cape Town to audition alongside the IQ. They cost more than double and would
like to see/hear if that is remotely justified.
Anyone here audition the Pioneer LX81 or LX82? I am well aware of the praise the Z7 and Z11 have received,
but the LX82 is no slouch and the price point is well below that of the Z7 locally.
I contacted Hertz Design and they no longer bring in the SVS range so will have to do it myself.
If there are any SVS owners out there please let me know your thoughts on the units.
Anyone here know what the customs import duties might be a sub or two?
